"Oshi no Ko" dives into the world of the Japanese entertainment industry, unraveling a tale of reincarnation, ambition, and revenge. After a spellbinding first season filled with twists, Season 2 returns with the continuation of Aqua and Ruby Hoshino's journey through fame and retribution.
Obstetrician-Gynecologist Gorou Amamiya's admiration for pop idol Ai Hoshino takes a bizarre turn when he's reincarnated as her son, Aquamarine Hoshino, following his murder by an obsessed fan. His twin, Ruby Hoshino, is the reincarnation of another deceased patient, connecting their lives in ways they can't yet understand.
As the two grow up together, they navigate the highs and lows of the entertainment industry, with Aqua's burning desire to find and kill their father fueling their ambition. Twelve years after their mother Ai's murder, Aqua and Ruby have become high school students, adopted by Strawberry Productions' owners, Ichigo and Miyako Saito.
While Ruby dreams of stardom and forms the idol group "B-Komachi," Aqua returns to acting, using his new connections to locate his father. Their careers take off, but as they grow increasingly manipulative in their pursuit, their relationship strains.
Season 2 builds upon these complex narratives, following the twins as they lose trust in each other and develop darker intentions. The creation of an autobiographical film about Ai titled "15 Years of Lies" sets the stage for an epic confrontation between Aqua and Ruby, as both seek to accomplish their own goals.
