The Typhoon foiled my plans on having Jappleng complete by this week. Curses! It's a mess and it will continue to be bad for another few days so no updates for now. I will continue this post in the forum news format that you're all used to.When will I be moving out of town?ThursdayWhen will the next batch of updates release?It depends, I'm not likely going to work on the site on Thursday and on Friday I'm most probably going to be at immigration. Assuming that I get my visa extended, I'll be able to keep working starting this Saturday. If it doesn't get approved then I have to go back to the US.Will I be updating the site any between now and then?Yes. I absolutely have to find out the reason why there are so many crawl errors on Jappleng and I might even work on a few moderator tools. I think a spambot masked their IP as google's and I ended up blocking Google as a result. It's a common trick and a reason why blocking IPs is frowned upon. So I might end up clearing out all IPs from being blocked, overhaul the registration system so it's incredibly difficult for bots to register and easy for humans that know English to do so. I'll even tackle down the remaining 10,000+ errors that are still being found. This will be my goal for this week. It isn't much work but with barely any electricity it's all that I can do.I'm sorryI'm sorry and I really am. I really want this site to be filled with students, people learning, and have it all nice and complete with zero errors. But unfortunately mother nature hates everything so it sends typhoons over as a reminder that we need to learn how to tame her before she has another tantrum. For now though, I'll do what I can to update the site but when I come back I will....And what's on the log for the next updates?Achievements will go up, you'll be able to use what you buy in the shop, pagination will work on JSpot!, settings will work, of course the updates that I mentioned earlier will be included, a new comment system will be implemented everywhere, any remaining section will be implemented so the travel section, top posters etc...
